Enjoy Life through hobbies.
As we suffer day to day from our boring day jobs that we force ourselves to do (to pay bills, rent, credits, support our family) — we need to enjoy life more than ever.
We need to find a hobby.
Make it simple, hobbies don’t need to cost us a lot.
My hobbies are fishing and motorcycling. I bought myself a cheap, used inflatable fishing boat. I did a lot of research on it and found a pretty tough, durable, reliable one.
Inflatable boats are super light and fit in a duffel bag – no need to pay “marina launching fees.” Pretty simple.
I bought ordinary fishing reels, rods and gears from Walmart. Remember, it’s a hobby, no need to go broke on it.
Find a simple hobby you enjoy and life will be a million times better – you’ll feel a million times better too.
No! Buying a brand new sports car to cruise down the city is NOT a hobby. It’s more of filling a void. It is not what you REALLY need. People buy sports cars for:
- Status Symbols (useless)
- Speed rush
If you want rush, go buy a motorcycle – it’ll fill all your adrenaline needs. Nothing combines speed and nature like a motorcycle. Motorcycles are way cheaper than cars.
Avoid new ones, there are millions of good deals on Craigslist.
Nothing compares to cruising around the coastal highway on your beloved baby bike — nothing. It’s the most enchanting feeling ever. Ask any biker and they’ll tell you. The feeling, the freedom, the experience, cruising gives you – is absolutely amazing. Indescribable.
Those are my two hobbies. I’m probably gonna be doing those for the rest of my life.
What are yours? It doesn’t have to cost you anything – it could be painting, guitar, basketball, cooking. If you love cooking, build a free blog and share your cooking recipes to the world – or upload a “how-to” in YouTube. Same with art and music – showcase it on your blog or YouTube.
From going through our painful, monotonous dayjob (admit it, 90% of us have boring, life stumping dayjobs), hobbies are what we need to live again. After all, we feel more alive doing what we love than anything else.
Find your hobby, that’s where life starts.
